The drinks are yummy and cute. All of the staff are lovely and professional, we were very well taken care of. Will definitely be returning.
- Fairooj Rashid Added July 14, 2022★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆The restaurant food can be good (haven’t tried) but the bar is not as good as people upscale it. The drinks are average. But I am ranking it low (negative if it was possible) because of this very unpleasant experience we had in Alex and co.
My friend was wearing flip-flops that day as she casually rocked up to meet us at the bar. She was denied entry, which would have been FINE, given the fact the bar can have a dress code/ policy and she wasn’t aware of it. A simple “sorry we can’t let you enter due to inappropriate footwear” - would have sufficed.
Instead the security guy at the entrance made a sneaky unprofessional inappropriate comment about the way my friend looked. Her appearance I mind you!!! We all found this very unacceptable. My friend felt very humiliated in front of everybody.
Such behaviour shouldn’t be tolerated, given the fact they are in hospitality they should know how to treat people politely. Or do we need to look a certain way to be respected by them as customers ?
